Tampa Drum Lessons at Ricmon Music School: Our Approach
There is a wide range of styles of drumming that our instructors can teach, such as rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues, and more. Regardless of the style you wish to learn, we can tutor you in it. Our goal is to ensure that students have as convenient a lesson time as possible.
Our instructors come to your home to teach your drum lessons. In addition to your drum set and sticks, you will need pencils and a notebook.
Ricmon Music School takes an integrated approach to music education using music theory. Establishing solid, universally applicable fundamentals is the best way to do this.

Our goal is to make sure our students LOVE being on the throne (and yes, it really is called the throne!) whether it is their first or hundredth time.

Our teachers aim to develop students’ connection with instruments while also making them aware of their own capabilities by providing a deeper understanding of the music you already enjoy. Whatever your goals may be, we can tailor drumming instruction to meet them.
Is there a jazz ensemble you are a member of? Our most important lesson will be swinging, dynamics, and chart reading. Do you hope to become the next big country/rock/pop band? In this lesson, we’ll play with power, steady grooves, and simple fills. Could you have aspirations of becoming an incredibly versatile drummer who is capable of playing in all types of styles? You’ll learn which skills are required for each and how to identify the differences between them.
Our Drum Teachers:
The instructors on our roster include drummers and percussionists (timpani, congas, bongos, etc.). Jessie Caraballo, Marc Anthony’s drummer and main percussionist since 2004! Since 2004, Jessie has performed and recorded with the Rico Monaco Band. He has performed around the world on the biggest stages with Marc including Madison Square Garden, Amway Center, etc. He is one of the best percussionists in the country.
Other instructors on our roster include Dimas Sanchez.
